INFERTILITY

Infertility is defined as not being able to get pregnant despite having frequent, unprotected sex for at least a year.

Infertility may result from an issue with either you or your partner, or a combination of factors that interfere with pregnancy.

It is the inability to become pregnant/impregnate or carry a pregnancy to full term. There are many causes of infertility, including some that medical intervention can treat.

It’s common for couples to experience issues with infertility. Many of these couples have no symptoms. They don’t have any reason to suspect they may have infertility until they start trying to conceive

Common factors in Women:

-- Irregular Menstrual Cycles

_ Painful/ Heavy period

-- Delayed Periods

_ No period

-- Endometriosis

-- Ovarian Cyst

-- Miscarriages

-- High Prolactin

-- Hormonal Imbalances

-- Low Sexual Drive

_ Fibroids

_ Blockage of fallopian tube

_ Pelvic inflammatory disease etc

Men:

1. Changes in sexual desire

2. Testicle pain or swelling

3. Problems maintaining erection

4. Issues with ejaculation

5. Small, firm testicles

6. Infection... STDs, Staphylococcus etc

7. Azoospermia

8. Erectile Dysfunction

For these reason, it’s recommended that couples who’ve been trying to get pregnant for over a year without success seek the advice of a doctor. For women over age 35, that timeline is reduced to six months. Infertility issues increase with age.
